About Us

About The Dispatch

Our Mission: Transparency, Accountability, Community.

The Bloomfield Community Dispatch (the "Dispatch") is an independent, non-partisan online newspaper dedicated to fostering transparent and ethical governance within Bloomfield, Connecticut. Our mission is to serve as a vigilant "watchdog" over local government, ensuring that all civic operations are conducted democratically, with accountability, and in the best interests of the community.

Editorial Control & Independence

1. Singular Editorial & Publisher Authority: Peter C. Frank is the Founder and Publisher of The Dispatch. As Editor-in-Chief, he maintains exclusive and final editorial control over all content. All research, investigative direction, and final drafting are verified and authorized solely by the Editor-in-Chief. Concerns regarding editorial policy should be addressed to him at: pcfrank73@gmail.com.

2. Explicit Authorship Policy: It is the strict policy of The Dispatch that when an article carries a singular by-line, that individual is the sole author of the work, without collaboration. In the interest of total transparency, all collaborators—however trivial their effort—must be listed in the by-line or clearly disclosed in an article footnote. Integrity requires that the reader knows exactly whose voice they are hearing.

3. Contributor Liability & Workflow: Contributors may publish via their own accounts following editorial review and approval. For those who do not wish to maintain a platform account, their work will be published under the general Dispatch account with a by-line explicitly attributed to them. Contributors are only responsible for the specific articles associated with their individual by-lines.

4. Distinction of Past Work: Investigative series transitioning from the Editor-in-Chief’s personal blog (petercfrank.blogspot.com) remain the sole creation and intellectual property of Peter C. Frank.
